Training for futures

It’s all about standards!

Progression Routes

After completing training at Advance Skills Academy you will be given support and advice on what options are available next.

Trainees will decide whether to continue in training through further courses at ASA, local further education colleges or will decide to enter employment. The team at ASA will guide Trainees through the process assisting them to achieve their goals.

Progression means to move forward. It is the policy of Advance Skills Academy that all Trainees should progress after achieving qualifications. Education, employment and training are not destinations but a series of journeys through life.

Current progression opportunities available to Trainees completing a Level 1 course at ASA are in the first instance, level 2 qualifications for ‘Entry to the Uniformed Services ‘delivered locally by the 2 main FE colleges in Merseyside, and a whole range of level 2 qualifications in a variety of subject areas.

Many Trainees decide to enter employment after achieving qualifications with ASA and support is available to produce CVs, letters of application and guidance on interview techniques. A proportion of Trainees decide to pursue a career in the uniformed services, however many choose an unrelated career and apply their newly developed skills to succeed.
